Abstract: It is always contention whether the fundus pathologicchanges without obvious injuries are peculiar to child abuse or a result of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The findingsconsisting of subretinal, Intraretinal, rainal, vitreous hemorrhages and shaped folds that encircle the macula outsidethe vascular arcade, were found in abused children. Com puted Tomography(CT) head scan may show retinal hemorrhages and others. Magnetic Resonance Image (MRI) appears to be vaduable in assessment of patients with suspect suspected intracranial injury due to child abuse, and reveal moreslight damage and hemorrhage. The mechanism of retinalhemorrhage is unknown, but more authors think a lot ofmechanisms, often occurring together instead of singlemechanism.
