Abstract: There are some data on acute toxity of Yang-Jin·Hua (Datura), but they are Very rough and ambigurous. In this paper, an acute toxity of Yang-Jin- Huan was reported. Exstracts from its flower, fruit and seed were experimen- ed on 180 rats. The results showed fhat the LD50 of exstracts from flower. fruit and seed were 14. 9314, 7. 7625 and 7. 1746 g/kg respectively, The toxici- ty of Yang-Jin-Hua was very high and the toxity of its flower was lower than that of its fruit and seed. The alkaloids in flower, though it was a little strange, were much more than that in fruit and seed. The reason of it was not clear.
