Abstract: Sudden, unexpected death caused by Addison's bisease is infrequent end easily overlooked in medieolegal autopsies. In this paper we reporatd 3 cases of death from Addison's disease, one was adrenal tuberculosis and the two others were idiopathic adrenoeorticohypoplasia. Because the antemortem clinicaI symptoms of this disease were indistinct, there was a suspicion against the cause of death after sudden death. The inducements of sudden death of these 3 eases were mild infection. Reviewing literature together with our own experiences in medicolegal autopsies, the machanism of sudden death caused by Addison's disease and the points for attention in examination and appraisement were discussed.
