Abstract: The 290 blood samples from Taiyuan area were detected by mixed starch/agarose gel electrophoresis. The phenotypes were 8 GIOI_(1-1), 63 GLOI_(2-1), 219 GLOI_(2-2). The gene frequencies were: GLOI~1 0.1362; GLOI~2 0.8638. The 50 bloodstain samples on the cloth kept at room temperature for 3 weeks could be phenotypod correctly. The staining method was improved. The background of gel plank is clear. The improved method is (simple) rapid and more practical.

Key words: Glyoxlase I(GLOI) Mixed starch/agatese gel electrophoresis Gene frequencie.
