Abstract: The distribution of the sixth component of complement phenotypes were studied using the agarose gel isoelectric focusing (AGIEF) following immunoblotting technique in 203 Chinese Han populations in Liaoning area. The gene frequencies were as follows: C6A=0.4704, C6B=0.5049, C6B2=0.0148, C6B3=0.0049, C6M=O.OO49, respectively. The observed numbers of the phenotypes were in agreement with the expected numbers under the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium. The gene frequencies among other areas in China, and Chinese and other populations were compared.
