APPLICATION OF NEGATIVE ION CHEMICAL IONIZATION MASS SPECTROMETRY IN FORENSIC ANALYTICAL TOXICOLOGY
SHEN MIN;SUN YAJUAN. INSTITUTE OF FORENSIC SCIENCES;MINISTRY OF JUSTICE;PRC;SHANGHAI;CHINA 000
    1992, 0(1): 1-8+48.
    Abstract ( 1568 )
The successful application of the GC/NICIMS technique for the analysis of abuse drugs and pesticides are presented, including organophosphorus, carbamate, pyrethroid, phenothiazine, barbiturates, benzodiaepines, alkaloids and other toxic substances. This study demonstrated that negative CI mass spectrometry may become a valuable tool, specially using negative CI in combination with positive CI and EI in the identification of unknown compound, because it has advantages of simple mass spectrum, obvious structrural information, high sensitivity and very few interference.

AGE ESTIMATION FROM MORPHOLOGICAL CHANGES OF FEMALE STERNUM
LIU DONGLIANG LIWANG PUBLIC SECURITY SUB-BUREAU;GUANGZHOU 000
    1992, 0(1): 9-14+5.
    Abstract ( 1819 )
Morphological changes of Chinese female sternum and the corresponding age were studied by means of multiple linear regression. The study provided three equations which can be used both in forensic medicine and anthropology to estimate age from female sternum.

ESTABLISHMENT OF PRACTICABLE 2D-PAGE MAP OF HUMAN SEMINAL PLASMA
LI JIANPING FACULTY OF FORENSIC MEDICINE;CHINA MEDICAL UNIVERSITY;SHENYANG;CHINA 000
    1992, 0(1): 15-18+4.
    Abstract ( 2188 )
In this paper, two-dimensional electrophoretic map of human seminal plasma proteins has been established under condition of this study by means of improvement of previous methods. The 2D-PAGE map not only is basis on which proteins of human seminal plasma will be further studied, but provides scientific basis for analysis of other proteins.

APPLICATION OF ANTI-HUMAN RED BLOOD CELL AGGLUTININ SERUN
CAI RUIBO DEPARTMENT OF FORENSIC SEROLOGY;SUN YAT-SEN UNIVERSITY OF MEDICAL SCIENCES;GUANGZHOU 00
    1992, 0(1): 19-22+4.
    Abstract ( 1636 )
Absorption-inhibition test was carried out to prove that the agglutinin existing in anti-human hemoglobin precipitin serum is essentially anti-human red blood cell agglutinin. We used this agglutinin to identify the species of unknown bloodstains by elution test. The minimal identifiable amount of bloodstain corresponds to 0.001 ul of fresh blood; 448 cases of human bloodstain kept for less than 11 years showed correct reaction; 33 out of 52 cases of human bloodstain kept for 12~16 years showed positive result and the remaining 19 cases negative; all the fresh bloodstains of 15 species of animal showed negative result.

GENETIC POLYMORPHISM OF THE SIXTH COMPONENT OF COMPLEMENT IN NORTHEAST CHINA
DING MEI FACULTY OF FORENSIC MEDICINE;CHINA MEIDCAL UNIVERSITY;SHENYANG;CHINA 000
    1992, 0(1): 23-25+5.
    Abstract ( 1743 )
The distribution of the sixth component of complement phenotypes were studied using the agarose gel isoelectric focusing (AGIEF) following immunoblotting technique in 203 Chinese Han populations in Liaoning area. The gene frequencies were as follows: C6A=0.4704, C6B=0.5049, C6B2=0.0148, C6B3=0.0049, C6M=O.OO49, respectively. The observed numbers of the phenotypes were in agreement with the expected numbers under the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium. The gene frequencies among other areas in China, and Chinese and other populations were compared.

THE POSTMORTEM ULTRASTRUCTURAL CHANGES OF THE LIVER CELL IN MICE OBSERVED BY SCANNING ELECTRON MICROSCOPY
HUANG FEIJUN SCHOOL OF FORENSIC MEDICINE WEST CHINA UNIVERSITY OF MEDICAL SCIENCES;CHENGDU 00
    1992, 0(1): 26-28+4.
    Abstract ( 1899 )
Experimental postmortem ultrastructural changes of the liver cell in mice in moisty temperature at 20℃ with method of freeze-fracture were observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results showed slightly extended endoplasmic reticulum and enlarged mitochondria in mice liver cellls 3 hour after death. The neucli of liver cell did not change until 6 to 1.2 hours after death. The ultrastructural changes of liver cell were found to correlate with the post-mortem intervals. And the results also indicated that it could be used as morphological indicator to determine the time of death. The advantages and disadvantages of freeze-fracture method and resolution of SEM for obser. vation of ultrastructure were disccussed as well.

CURRENT PROGRESS OF AGE ESTIMATION FROM TEETH
ZHANG PENG INSTITUTE OF FORENSIC SCIENCES;MINISTRY OF JUSTICE;SHANGHAI 000
    1992, 0(1): 31-33+2.
    Abstract ( 1904 )
New methods, as well as modified classic ones on the estimation of human age from teeth are reviewed. As a result of adopting various advanced techniques, plenty of progress, on variety of aspects including the quantity and quality of teeth needed, accuracy of the results, simplifying of the process, etc., are made during the last several decades. It seems that some new methods have more advantages over the classic methods and, have good prospects in forensic practice.
