Abstract: The authors used rabbits to engage experiments to research the relationship between the changes of pH value and the compositions of gas in corpse's blood(blood in neck vein)and the postmortem time. The compositions of gas included the partial pressure of oxygen,the partial pressure of carbon dioxide,saturation degree of oxygen,HCO,and base excess.The study has reference value in estimating the time after death in forensic practice.
