Abstract: Myoslobin (Mb) depletion from myocardium in the cases of Sudden Manhood Death Syndrome (SMDS) and control group was studied using an immunohistochemical technique (ABC method)Mb was detected quantitatively by using a scanning microscope photometer. The results show that there were clear depletion of Mb in each case of SADS, and mest of them were multiple, disseminated and segmental distribution, but there was hide las in the cases of control group. We suggested thst the multiple, disseminated and segmental depletion of Mb has relation to the fact of myocatdial ischenmia but without large area infarction in myocardium of the cases, and that the myocardial ischemia of the cases was probably pro duced by coronaryspasm.
