Abstract: In the thirteen cases studied below. five are suspected primary brain-stem injury, the other eight are clear in the cause of death, including severe closed craniocerebral injury(2 cases),hanging(1 case),hemorrhagic shock(1 case),death from electricity(2 cases) and heroin poisoning(2 cases).FN in brain-stem (midbrain pons and medullary bulb) is detected in some brain-stem neurons in all cases of the suspected primary brain-stem injury, severe craniocerebral injury and beroin poisoning. Thus LSAB-FN method is not specific but very sensitive morphologic parameter of primary brain-stem injury

Key words: primary brain-stem injury, Fibronectin, immnohistochemistry
