Abstract: The authors report the features of cuticle scales which were observed in 54 species of animal hair under SEM ( Scanning Electron Microscope ). According to the margin of morphological characteristics, cuticle scales can be classified to three types. Serrated type, Smooth type, Mixture type. Besides, it is also showed that some cuticle scales are lost partly or completely.
