Abstract: This paper describes the results of ABO blood grouping of human hairs by absorption-elution test with papain treated red blood cells.977 samples were tested and accurate rate is 95.91%. The difference of accurate rates (99.6%-86.49%) canbe observed through the results of our five workers. The results showed: (1) The accurate rate of this method is similar to the report of Dr. Wang Jin-cai (China) and lower than that of Dr. Lei Chiao-bo (China). (2) The difference of results of our five workers is perhaps due to the difference of skill. (3) NO notable difference between the groups of scalded and unscalded hair. (4) This method dose not need high titration of anti-A, -B sera and could be casily popularized.
