Abstract: This article reports 14 cases of post-traumatic infarction.The problem of trauma in relation to cerebral infarction is discussed.The authers are of the opinion that post-traumatic cerebral infarction is mainly caused by thrombosis and embolism of cerebral arteris.Damage to endothelium of arteris resulted in thrombosis commonly as early as 4 hours after trauma.Cerebral thrombosis due to vascu- lar spasm induced by infracranial hemorrhage occur usually 1-3 Weeks.Embolism derived from ma- terial of atheromatous plaques occur immdiately.We can determine the relation between the trauma and cerebral infarction,depending on age,history of cerebrovascular diseases and the iste of the cerebral infarction.
