Abstract: In forensic medical examination, the, determination of therelation between spontaneous and traumatic splenic ruptureis a difficult work. The study of mechanism of splenic rupture Will render a necessary theoretic basis for handling theproblcm. We collectal 25 cases of splenic rupture causedby blunt force, analyzed the relation between rupture siteof spleen and direction of blunt force. We discovered thatthe mechanism of splenic rupture rests on two princi principles, the hit of the force and the collision of spleen to peripheral viscera, spinal column and ribs.
