Abstract: Objective To observe the dynamic changes of plasma nitric oxide(NO)?endothelin(ET)in the rabbits amniotic fluid embolism.Methods An experimental model of amniotic fluid embolism in pregnant rabbits was established.Heart blood were sampled either before or after5min,45min amniotic fluid in jection.ET and NO were detected by using radio-immunoassay method and Griess assay respectively.Results Compared with the normal control group,NO decreased significantly after injection,while levels of ET increased.The blood concentration changes between NO and ET showed negative correlation.Conclu sion NO and ET may play a role in the transient haemodynamic alteration of pulmonary hypertension dur ing early amniotic fluid embolism.
