Abstract: A simple, reproducible method for measuring the surface area and the volume of lesion is described. After the skin around lesion has been coated with vaseline, the lesion is covered with a transparent plastic film which follows the previous skin as much as possible. An isotonic solution is injected through the film, the amount of fluid required to fill the lesion represents the lesion volume. The circumference of the lesion is traced with a pen,cut with scissors and weighed with analytical blance. The weigh of film can be converted into the surface area of lesion.
