Abstract: The paper presents the legal medical investigation and identification after the crash of a passenger plane B2160 in Xi' an on June 6, 1994. A11 the crew and passengers werc killed in the disaster. Patterns of injury of the victims were mostly crush wound and failing injury. Most of the victims died from traumatic shock and fatal hemorrhage. of the 160 victims,139 were identified through physical and morphological characteristics as well as personal properties, 3 through fingerprints, 6 through blood type and the temaining through dental identification. Other problems related to medico-legal investigation in air disaster such as death time estimation were also discussed'
