    STUDY ON APPRAISING LABOUR ABILITY TO INJURED HUMAN BODY

    We worked out the Trial Draft-Standard for Appraising Labour Ability and Compensation to Injured Human Body in accordance with draft resolution of new judgement pattern of Japan(1984~1986) on disability due to injured haman body by Tomio Watanabe. Search for forty-six cases to perform by the draft-standard in 1991, we hold that the draft-standard is of great value in forensic medical practice, and go further into the issue for appraising.

    For studing labour ability and correlative factors after ocular injury, we performed twenty-eight ocular injnring cases (A group) with damages, in the same time, we selected randomly two control groups of 28 cases(B group was ocular injury with injured degree and C group was non-ocular injury with damages). Eeither of A group and C group was valuated by the Trial Draft-Standard for Appraising Labour Ability and Damages to injured Human Body, which was made by ourselves. We used statistical methods to analysis all data. The results revealing: (1) A group's kurtosis of age ranging frequency carve was double and B was single, (2)between A group and B group, types (p<0.001)and injurants (p<0.001) of ocular injury were significant difference, (3) occupations (p<0.005) and asking damages (p<0.001) were different significantly betwent A group and C group. We discussed characteristics of appraisng labour ability and damages after ocular injury, and indicated effect of amblyopia and Intraoular Lens Implantation after lens opacity.

    In order to further study the changes of dehydrogenases in acute myocardial ischemia (AMI), the present experiments were performed in a rabbit model of ligating left anterior descending coronary artery for 0.25, 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 4, 6, 12, 24, 36 and 72 hours. Tde rusults showed: (1) By 6 hours of AMI, the activity of seminal lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) was obviously high, its difference between pre-ischemia and post-ischemia was 734±153.66nmol/L (Mean±SE, P<0.05, t test). (2) At 0.5 hours after coronary ligation, the myocardial infarction was identified by macroscopic histochemistry. (3) At 1 hour after coronary ligation, LDH and malate dehydrogenase (MDH) depleted, so did succinate dehydrogenase(SDH) at 2 hours after ligation By microscopic histochemistry. LDH and MDH were more sensitive than SDH in AMI. (4) The changes of local enzymatic histochemistry of ischemic myocardium occured prior to the total serumal enzymatic ones.

    Cerebral concussion was produced with an iron pendulum hitting in rats, which resulted in loss of consciousness lasting 1 to 6 minutes The rat recovered soon without focal neurological signs The energy absorbed by the head at impact was calculated to be about 2.35 J. The routine pathological observation showed the changes of congestion, edema, and small focal hemorrhage in the brain tissues. A remarkable time course of pathological alterations were observed. After concussive injury, the brain vessels showed spasmodic contraction at 15 vain. The above nonidiosyncratic alterations began at 1h, reached a peak at 6h, retarned to the level of the 1h at 24h and disappeared at 48h. with weil's staining, swelling of the axons and the myelin sheaths were revealed. The lesions of retraction bails began to appear at 6h after injury and lasted to 24h and 48h.

    The experiment gave a research on decomposition kinetics of phenobarbital in preserving blood of rabbit (in room 10 to 15℃ and refrigerator 4℃). The results show that phenobarbital in preserving blood was decomposited very slowly. There was almost the same decomposition speed under the preserving conditions. The results supply a reference data for estimating poison analytical result in doubting poison case by phenobarbital.

    We have several death cases of misuse detergent as a lubricant of rectum which was accused as malpractsine The detergent, in which the main component is alkylbenzene sulfonate(ABS), is now recognized as a medium toxic substance. But it is unknown whether the toxicity of detergent, when used as an enema According to the results obtained, because the toxicity is much more severe in basic situation than in acidic situation, the toxicity of seagull Detergent is much more intense in rectum than in stomach. The enema LD50 is 0.67g/kg as a medium toxic substance. So, this would he the reason of death causation when detergent be used as an enema.
