Abstract:

Improving the reliability of forensic toxicology identification results, the sufficiency of evidentiary information, and the admissibility of evidence is an essential requirement for the disciplinary, technological, and evidential attributes of forensic toxicology. From the perspective of evidence reliability and with reference to domestic and international literature, this paper reviews research progress and expert consensus on this topic. It proposes improving the reliability of the identification results through the implementation of a systematic toxicological analysis strategy, strengthening the sufficiency of result information by multi-dimensional data mining, and ensuring the admissibility of identification evidence through interpretive opinions. It is hoped that this will draw the attention and reflection of peers and contribute to the advancement of forensic toxicology from one aspect.

Key words: forensic toxicology, toxicological analysis strategy, information mining, interpretive opinion
