Abstract: The methods for isolation, identification and quantification of heroin main metabolites-morphine and 6-acetylmorphine in urine specimens after heroin administration were developed. Using ethylmorphine as the internal standard. urine samples were hydrolycd and then extracted by solid phase extraction or liquid extraction. The extract were analyzed by GC/ FID. GC/NPD and GC/MS after derivatization with PFPA or acetic anhydride Pyridine. The methods given allows simple and rapid procedure. high sensitivity and good reproducibility.The methods were also applied to the analysis of 80 urinesamples of heroin addicts. The results are satisfactory.
