Methods This study detected the concentration of magnesiumMgand ironFein vitreous humor of rabbit at96h after death and explored the relationship between their concentration and PMI using a method ICP-MS. Results The concentra - tion of Mg in vitreous humor of rabbit at48h after death and Fe in vitreous humor of rabbit at6-48h after death were related to PMI significantly .T he formulae of the relationship between PMI and Mg concentrations is y=0.0738x 2 +0.6997x+11.45 ( within48h ,R 2 =0.9119 ).The formulae of the relationship between PMI and Fe concentrations is y=0.0411x 2 -0.3148x+1.4113 ( within6-48h ,R 2 =0.9594 ) . Conclusion The concentration of Mg in vitreous humor of rabbit at48h after death and Fe in vitreous humor of rabbit at6-48h after death may be as reference indicator to estimate PMI. Study on the relationship between PMI and the concentration of21elements in vitreous humor of rabbit after death GONG ZHI-QIANG ;ZENG XIAN-BIN ;SUN YUE-GANG ;ET AL.(.DEPARTMENT OF FORENSIC MEDICINE;JIANGXI MEDICAL COLLEGE;NANCHANG000;.PEOPLE'S COURT OF NANCHANG;NANCHANG000;.THE CRIMINAL SCIENCE RESEARCH INSTITUTION;BUREAU OF NANCHANG 2002, 0(2): 67-69.  Abstract ( 2016 )   Objective To seek a precise method for estimating postmortem interval(PMI)in forensic medicine practice.Methods This study detected the concentration of21elements in the vitreous humor of rabbit within96hours after death and explored the relationship between their concentration and PMI using the method of ICP-MS.Result It was shown that the concentration of9elements in vitreous humor of rab bit within different intervals after death were correlated to PMI available as a reference indicator to estimate PMI.Conclusion The changes in the concentration of certain elements in vitreous humor of vitreous humor are correlated with PMI and determination of such changes can be used to estimate the time of death. A quantitative analysis of peptidergic innervation in sinoatrial node in cases of sudden manhood death syndrome CHENG JIAN-DING;CHEN YU-CHUAN;HU BING-JIE(DEPARTMENT OF FORENSIC PATHOLOGY;SUN YAT-SEN UNI VERSITY OF MEDICAL SCIENCES;GUANGZHOU000) 2002, 0(2): 70-73.  Abstract ( 1777 )   Objective To study the distribution and proportion of neuropeptide containing nervers in the sinus node in cases of sudden manhood death syndrome(SMDS)and to explore the mechanism of SMDS.Methods Immunohistochemical staining and quantitative analysis of neuropeptide Y(NPY)and vasoactive intestinal peptide(VIP)in the sinus node in6cases of SMDS and in12cases of non-cardiac death(control group)were achieved by LSAB method and computerized image system.Results As for NPY positive materials,VIP positive materials and the ratio of VIP/NPY in the sinus nodes,there were no significant difference between the control group and SMDS group.Conclusion The mechanism of SMDS and the abnormality of autonomic nervous innervation in the sinoatrial nodes maybe incorrelation. The relationship between the postmortem interval and growing of the fly XIONG PING;GUO PING;ZENG QIAO(CENTER OF FORENSIC MEDICINE OF NANHUA UNIVERSITY;HENGYANG00) 2002, 0(2): 71-73.  Abstract ( 2000 )   Objective To study the growing of flies on body after different postmortem interval.Methods In natural environment,time points when flies coming,gathering,making eggs,and maggots pupating,emer gencing were observed on a female body died of disease.Results The time when flies coming,gathering,making eggs,and maggots pupating,changing to chrysalis,and emergencing were0.2,28,44,60,112and248h after one ' s death,respectively.Conclusion This study may be used in PMI estimation. Cell apoptosis in closed cerebellar contusion in rat LI XING-BIAO;HU YUN;XIA KANG(DEPARTMENT OF PATHOLOGY;WENZHOU MEDICAL COLLEGE;WENZHOU;ZHEJIANG0) 2002, 0(2): 74-75+7.  Abstract ( 1987 )   Objective To observe the cell apoptosis explore closed cerebellar contusion in rat.Methods SD rats model of contusion was established and apototic cells were detected by TUNEL method at5,10,30,45,60min and2,4,6,8,12h,after injury.Results apototic cells in contusion area appeared at1h after closed cerebellar contusion,reached the peak at4-6h,then decreased and so as marginal area where the peak was in6-8h.Conclusion The apoptotic index of closed contusion of cerebellum in different injury time may provide a new sensitive and objective method for the forensic early injury time estimation. The changes of electrocardiogram and serum cardiac troponin I at the early stage of crush injury in rats CHEN YU-CHUAN;LIU SHUI-PING;GUO WEIDEPARTMENT OF FORENSIC PATHOLOGY;SUN YAT-SEN UNIVERSITY OF MEDICAL SCIENCES;GUANGZHOU000 2002, 0(2): 76-77.  Abstract ( 1784 )   Objective To observe the changes of electrocardiogram and serum cardiac troponin I at the early stage of severe crush injury in rats.Methods Crush injury was produced in Sprague-Dawley rats.The changes of electrocardiogram were recorded with the standard Ⅱ ,the serum levels of cardiac troponin I were studied by automated chemiluminescence assay.Results The ST segment elevated considerably after crush injury and lasted24h,the levels of serum cTnI were much higher than those of the control groupes after6h of injury.Conclusion Cardiomyocyte injury was induced in the early phase of crush injury. Study on forensic expertise of medical tangle ZHANG HAI-DONG;CHANG LIN;LIU XIN(BEIJING HIGHER PEOPLE'S COURT;BEIJING0000) 2002, 0(2): 78-81.  Abstract ( 1803 )   Objective To study the characteristics of forensic expertise of medicial tangle,and explore the emphases and difficuties of forensic expertise.Methods The medical defect was classflied into the negliget defect,the technical defect,the administive defect,the learned defect and other defect.The36cases were analised according to the above-mentioned way.Results86.11%of the36cases has the tech nical defect,25%has the negliget defect and the administive defect.There were significant different be tween the our expertise opinion and Medical Tangle Expertise Committee ' s conclusion(P<0.05,P<0.01).Conlusion The forensic expertise of medical tangle play the positive role in deal with the medical tangle cases,but there are many problems to further explore in forensic expertise. Analysis of duo paternity testing LIU YAN;LI LI( INSTITUTE OF FORENSIC SCIENCES;MINISTRY OF JUSTICE ;PRC ;SHANGHAI000 2002, 0(2): 86-88.  Abstract ( 1744 )   Objective The study was carried out on application of13to15STR loci in duo paternity test.Methods The value of PE and CPE were caculated depending on the gene frequency of those STR loci in chinese population.The STR loci imcopatibilities were analyzed in104cases of paternity exclusion.Results CPE of13to15STR loci could reach0.9805to0.9906.the RCP was over99.73%.In104cases of paternity exclusion,less than2loci imcompetibilites were only found in two cases.Conclusion There was a low risky of false paternity inclusion in duo paternity test by using of13STR loci.If neces sary,the genetic markers should be added.The RCP of those cases without imcompatibilities could all reach paternity inclusion stardand. Column-switching high-performance liquid chromatographic method for the determination of morphine and O~6 -monoacetylmorphine in urine ZHANGYU-RONG;WANGRONG;ZHANGCHENG-GONG;ETAL.(SHANGHAIINSTITUTE OFFORENSIC SCIENCE;SHANGHAI000) 2002, 0(2): 89-91.  Abstract ( 1694 )   Objective To develop a column-switching high-performance liquid chromatographic method for the determination of morphine and O 6 -monoacetylmorphine in urine.Methods Urine samples1.0mlwere spiked with1.0ml borate buffer,after centrifugation,1.0ml of supernate were injected directly into an extraction columnYWG C 18 33mm×5.0mm,10 μ m.After a washing step with the extraction mobile phase,the retained morphine and O 6 -monoacetylmorphine were flushed into the analytical columnLichrospher R 100CN125mm×4.0mm,5 μ mwith the mobile phase CH 3 OH-H 2 O60∶40.The analytical mobile phase is CH 3 OH-phosphate bufferpH6.8622∶78.The UV detector was set at λ 286nm.Results The method shows excellent linearity from50to1600ng/ml for morphine and from100to1600ng/ml for O 6 -monoacetylmorphine.The linear correlation coefficients were>0.999.The relative standard deviations were<4%.The limits of detection were40ng/ml for both morphine and O 6 -monoacetylmorphine.Conclusion The method described is sensitive,rapid,reproducible,and simple.
