Forensic Pathological Study of Traumatic Myocardial Infarction in Seven Cases
    LI DE-XIANG CHINA MEDICAL UNIVERSITY
    1990, 0(3): 1-5.
    Abstract ( 1892 )
Seven examples of traumatic myocardil infarction caused by blunt forceseffecting on the chest described. This study is based on seven cases of foren-sic pathological autopsy in which the clinical history and the pathologicalchanges of traumatic myocardial infarction was confirmed. In five cases of theseven the lesion was not recognised at the time of the blunt trauma but becameclinically important 6 to 27 hours laters, especially after sleeping. As all theseven patients were young(18—35 years old)and had unusual traumatic lesionsthe damage of myocardial infarction could be attributed to the blunt forces onthe chest of patients. This study demonstrated that the myocardial infarction may be caused bythe blunt forces on chest of healthy young men.

A Study on the Damages of Hair due to Different physico-chemical Conditions
XU WEN-LONG ZHANG MAO-HONG (INSTITUTE OF FORENSIC SCIENCE OF ANHUI PROVINCE)
    1990, 0(3): 6-10.
    Abstract ( 1858 )
Hair damages resulted from heat, alkali, acid and implements were studied.Different physico-chemical conditions may injure hairs so as to change the formand structure of the hair.Based on the particular injuring we can deducedvaluable views about the forensic hair evidence.

Pathological Analysis of Cases of 290 Sudden Death
DONG RONGCHUN;ET AL (DEPARTMENT OF PATHOLOGY;SECOND MILITARY MEDICAL UNIVERSITY)
    1990, 0(3): 11-15.
    Abstract ( 2164 )
290 cases of sudden death are reported. Our paper shows that the frequencyof sudden death increased notably from 1949 to 1989(P<0.001).The causesof sudden death in this group are:1.Cardiovascular disease:105 cases(36.2%).2.Respiratory disease:61 cases(21.0%).3.Digestive disease:42 cases(20.7%).4.Neurologic disease:39 cases(13.4%).5.Others:32 cases(11.0%).Our report also shows that sudden death is not the inexorable culminationof advanced coronary arteriosclerosis but instead is the result of ventriculasfibrillation and therefore is readily reversible. The reason why those caserdied suddenly in sleeping is discussed either.Key Words:Sudden death;Coronary arterial disease.

Combined Index as a Criterion of DDVP Fatality
    LING YAN
    1990, 0(3): 16-18.
    Abstract ( 6110 )
It is suggested that combined index is an available approach for the aim atelevating the probability of distinguishing between death and survival whenpoisoning in the work of clinic and forensic toxicology.DDVP is an exampleof it.Probability of coincidence(P_c)is used as a combined index which can beexpressed as:P_c=P_1×P_2×……P_nIn P,three parameters—blood DDVP concentration, blood cholinesterase andspasmodic bronchiarctia in the lung—are used in it.As an example, after cal-culating the survival rates from a series of equations in the text, the probabi-lity of survival can be elevated from 0.05 and 0.23 of each single parameter to0.0006 of combined index P.It means that the probability of death can beelevated from 95% and 77% to 99.94%.It is concluded that P.is an effectiveindex in clinic and forensic toxicology.

A Research of Hepatic Glycogen and Glucose-6-Phosphatase Levels Under Microscope and Microspectrophotometry to Estimate the Death Time
    1990, 0(3): 19-21.
    Abstract ( 1978 )
The possibility of death time estimated by means of hepatic glycogen andglucose-6-phosphatase detection was investigated experimentally.40 rats wereevided into 4 groups:violence, acute drug poisoning, drowning and starva-tion.The results of the first three groups were as follows:The hepatic glycogen leveles determined by microspectrophotmetry werewell correlated with the death time as the equation y=47.13-31.391nX TheDifferences between groups of death time were significant This result will beuseful in the work of death time identifian. The glucose-6-phosphatase was thesame tendency as hepatic glycogen. And the group of starvation,as there wasno glycogen left in the liver,no significant chang could be seen at all.It ispossible to estimate the death time by means of hepatic glycogen and glucose--phosphatase detecting.

The Serum Protein and Glucose Changes of Injury
    1990, 0(3): 22-24.
    Abstract ( 1856 )
In this paper we observed the changes of serum protein and glucose inrabbits injury. We found no changes of serum protein in antemortem injuryand postmortem. But glucose increased with injury time. The highest point oftlucose showed in the 24h after injury. The glucose decreased with postmorteingime.

Screening and Simultaneous Determination Benzodiazepines in-Serum by High Performance
LIQUID CHROMATOGRAPHGUO YOUMEI DINGWEIQI ZHANG QIYING (DEPARTMENT OF FORENSIC MEDICINE;FACULTY OF BASIC MEDICAL SCIENCES;SHANGHAI MEDICAL UNIVERSITY;SHANGHAI)
    1990, 0(3): 25-29.
    Abstract ( 2125 )
A reversed phase high performance liquid chromatographic method was de-veloped for the screening and simultaneous determinations of mixed benzodia-zepines involving Flurazepine,Nitrazepine,Clozapine,Estazolam,Oxazepine,Chlorodiazepoxide,N-desmethyldiazepine and diazepine in serum.Benzodiazepines in serum were extracted with dichloromethane at pH9.0,chromatographed on a NOVA-PAK C_(18)column(15cmx3.9mmID,5μ)anddetected at UV 240nm,the mobile phase was mathanol:water:acetonitril:HAc,TEMED(90:100:10:1:0.8),the relative retention data of henzodiazepines(inabove order)were 0.42,0.51,0.58,0.62,0.72,1,1.25 and 1.61 respectivily:chlorodiazepoxide was selected as an internal standard.Method characteristicssuch as linearity, reproducibility, specificity, minium determination level andrecovery were obtained. The relative retention data on the systems is considered with reference tothe problem of identifying unknown benzodiazepines, the presented methodprovided a new approach to forensic analysis of mixed benzodiazepines. This method had been applied by an emergency patient's serum specimenwho had ingested clozapine.

The Relative Strength of the Quantity of Cadmium in Smokers' Hair and Non-smokers' Hair
LI MEIJUN LIU SHIRONG QIU ZHENTING (EAST CHINA UNIVERSITY OF CHEMICAL TECHNOLOGY;SHANGHAI)
    1990, 0(3): 30-31.
    Abstract ( 1907 )
The relationship between the quantity of cadmium in smokers' hair andnon-smokers'hair has been explored with atomic absorption spectrophoto-metry.The results are:1.The quantity of cadmium in the sample of smokers'hair is more thannon-smokers'.2.The quantity of cadmium in hair sample is direct proportional to theage.
