Sudden Infant Death Syndrom (SIDS) in The Federal Republic of Germany
QIN;QISHENG DEPARTMENT OF FORENSIC MEDICINE;TONG JI MEDICAL UNIVERSITY FISCHER;H. THE INSTITUTE OF FORENSIC MEDCINE;MUNICH UNIVERSITY
    1986, 0(2): 2-6.
    Abstract ( 1920 )
The sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) in the Federal Republic of Germany Han been reviewed. SIDS occurred in infants who looked healthy. The prevalence of SIDS was 2-5‰, in health children and 16.5% in inlant autopsy, most of which were under 6 mounths in age. The epidemiology, the pathology and the pathogenesis have been disscused. Sithypotheses of pathogenesis were recomme- nded as follow; 1.the deficiency in immunologica function; 2.the metabolc distu rbance; 3.the reflex mechanism of vegetative nerve system; 4.the low adaptability of respiro-cardiovascular; 5.the infection; 6.the multiple factors.

Sudden Death without Focus in Corpse
YU ZHIZHONG (DEPARTMENT OF PATHOLOGY. BAOTOU MEDICAL COLLEGE)
    1986, 0(2): 6-12.
    Abstract ( 1881 )
A retrospective review was made of recards and specimens of 23 cases of sudden death without focus. No evidence of new problems in pathology was obtaind, and no pathologic change in the AV node and the bundle of His were found. In order to try to find out the true cause of mortality, we studied the specimens again with optical microscopes, considering that it is unhelpful to use electron microscopes to perform autopsy of the bodies which died two days a go. In this study we analysed the data on the heart and the lungs of 23 cases. Although no mortal focus was found it is believed that the mortol organ was the heart. I also agree that the histopathology of early myocardial anoxia is crucial for diagnosis. Therefore it is of higher diagnostic value to regard such histopathologic changes as waveness myocardial fibers, band degeneration of myocardial fibers and fragmentation of myocardial fibers as the basis for diagnosis of cardic death.

Estimation of Survival Time after Ingestion of DDVP Using a Method of Gastrointestinal Transit. A New Approachal
    YAN LING;BU JUN;DENG LIPING
    1986, 0(2): 12-15.
    Abstract ( 1918 )
The possibility by means of gastrointestinal transit to estimate the survival time after administration of DDVP was tested on 90 Sprague-Dawley rats. Gastrointestinal transit was firmly related to survival time (r=0.9314, P<0.01) irrespective of doses and stomach filling. It will be a great advantage in identification in the field of forensic medicine.

Determination of HLA-A2 and HLA-B40 antigens in sera and dried bloodstains
CHENG DALIN LIU ZUBO (DEPARTMENT OF TATERIAL EVIDENCE ON FORENSIC SCIENCES;INSTITUTE OF FORENSIC SCIENCES;MINITRY OF JUSTICE;PRC.)
    1986, 0(2): 16-20.
    Abstract ( 1920 )
The soluble HLA-AB antigens of the different dilution in sera and dried bloodstaims were determined with microlymphocytotoxicity inhibition test. Adopting lymphocytotoxicity 11 grades marks and useing 2 grades as the judgment standard of the inhibition, the test res- ults are satisfactory. With the groups of double-diluted anti-HLA sera, the soluble HLA-AB antigens in the maceration extracts of dried bloodstains of up to 1/80 dilution can be determined successfully.

A Study on Identification of Nerium indicum Mill
ZHAO TAI-AN;XI JIAN-HUA AND YANG MIN (THE INSTITUTE OF FORENSIC SCIENCES;MINISTRY OF JUSTICE;PRC)
    1986, 0(2): 25-27.
    Abstract ( 1986 )
Nerium indicum Mill, is a kind of plants of Apocynaceae. It was reported that several cardiacglycosides including nericorin, oleanerin and neriin were iscl ated from leaves and other parts of this plant. In criminal cases Nerium indicum Mill. is recognized to be a kind of most commonly seen toxic plants. In order to identify this plant, an- atomical studies are conducted on stems, barks, leaves and flowers. In our study it shows that some botanical characters are very important, e.g. bicollateral bundles, stomata and stoma pits, and crystals. In this paper, chemical analyses are also studied.

Simultaneous Typing of Gc and Tf Phenotypes by slab electrophoresis with polyarylamide gel
    QIUHAI ZHANG ZHI
    1986, 0(2): 28-32.
    Abstract ( 1951 )
Distributions and gene frequencies of Gc and Tf phenotypes were examined simultaneously by slab electrophoresis of polyarylamibe in serum of Shanghai China, The obtained allele frequencies are as follows Gc~1=0.6629,Gc~2=0.3371,Tf~c=0.9839, Tf~b=0.0048, Tf~d=0.0113. The discriminat powers (Dp Values) of Gc and Tf phenotypes is 0.612. This method is useful in individual identification and paternity testing in the fields of frensic science, clicical biochemestry、anthropologic genetics and hematology.
