    Detection of ABH substances in saliva is reported using the semiquantitative method of isohaemagglutination inhibition test(HAI test) for the pu rpose of determination the secrete status and the ABO blood group. Results were quite satisfactory. The relative amount of ABH substances in secretor saliva as well as the degree of antibody inhi bition were determined by comparison of the HAI titer.

    Genetic heterogeneity of glucosephosphate dehydrogenase (6—PGD) from firststrimester chorionic villi and frequencies of the Hans of Xi'an was analysed by starch-gel electrophoresis. The Studies demonstrates that genetic heterogeneity of 6—PGD has existed in first trimester chorionic villi, the bands of it can be of equal intensity to the erythrocyte samples. In our population samples (n=144) the following frequencies were calculated: PGDA=0.8570, PGDc=0.1424 and DP=0.40. It may be regarded as one of the more stable genetic markers. It is of great value that the polymorphism is used for paternity test of first-trimester pregnancy and identificantion.

    A total of 320 unrelated individuals from the Liaoning area, China, have been t ped for red cell PGM_1 using isoelectric focusing(PH5—7) in thin—layer polyacry lamide gels. 10 subtypes are considered as gene products of 4 alleles at PGM_1 locus with the following frequencies. PGM_1~(1+)=0.6240, PGM_1~(1-)=0.1240,PGM_1~(2+)=0.1755, PGM_1~(2-)=0.0765. A rare variant PGM_1~(8) as well as a new rare variant PGM_1 China is reported and the pedigree study about this new variant has been carried out. T hePI of this new variant is also determined. The discriminatingpowe(DP) of the PGM_1 is 0.76. A example of the application PGM_1 in individual identification case is attached to this paper.

    The various phenotype frequencies of haptoglobin from the Uighur population in Xingjiang were reported here after a test of 178 serum samples. Furthermor the gene frequencies for these phenotypes had been made out. The results showed the Hp_0 phenotype reaches the polymorphic level in this population. According to the migration history of the Uinhur nationnality, we tried to interpret this phenomenon as the result of genetic draft.An attempt had been made to explain the possible genetic mechanism of Hp_0 phenotype. Using the data here and from the concerning source, we had made X~2 tests to see whether Hp_0 is the mutiple allele of Hp_1 and Hp_2 The result showed contradiction to the multiple allele hypothesis

    In this paper, China—made such en-zyme had been used in the enzyme digest method and compared with Na_2 WO_4 diposit method to detect some sedatives and oforifics in rabbit liver to seewhichone got the higher value. As a result, the gain srate of these drugs by the enzyme digest method was far much higher than that of the Na_2 WO_4 one. The method used and advantages of it have been discussed.

    Studies on the identification of Synthetic Fibres with Differential Scanning Calorimetry

    The identification of the synthetic fibres is an important question of forersic identification. We measure the melting point and melting heat of the synthetic fibres using differential scanning, calorimefry (DSC) technique. From experiment result, not only can determine the chemical composition of the synthetic fibres, but also determine the quantitative composition of polyester/cotton blends. This is very worthy for forensic science.
